The high school dropout, Daniel Negreanu misspells in his rant again and gains the hotel in question, the Crowne Plaza Hotel which is located near the Commerce Casino in Commerce, California, USA. Many players in the casino's poker tournaments remain at the conveniently situated hotel.
Daniel Negreanu was previously playing in the casino's recent Los Angeles Poker Classic and planned to remain at the Crowne Plaza Hotel while participating. However, it didn't entirely happen that way. The Commerce Casino is one of Los Angeles' most popular casinos and was most recently the venue of the World Poker Tour's Los Angeles Poker Classic, the 16th stop on this year's WPT tour.
In a new blog post of the “Kid Poker” at www.cardplayer.com, he released a series of serious accusations against the Commerce Casino and Crowne Plaza Hotel. Kid Poker is accusing the Los Angeles resort of being corrupt in its management of room reservations.
Kid poker tells how he ended up in a belief that the casino is involving in unfair practice, particularly when it comes to managing the many reservations running in from poker pros all over the world. "I'd never really had a problem with the hotel before, but this year, some pretty shady activity came to my attention that just absolutely needs to stop," kid poker writes.
Kid Poker then continues on to describe how he together with other players like Phil Hellmuth and Joe Hachem experienced how the Crown Plaza allegedly revoked the poker pros reservations as a direct result of other costumers tipping off the staff of the hotel. "A corrupt practice that entails greasing the right palm which will allow you to flat out steal a room from someone with a reservation." he added.
Kid poker also write that, "Worse yet, at Commerce, people have literally been kicked out of their rooms in order to make room for someone who greased the right guy. I did a bit of research and found that this practice has been going on for years at the Commerce. It used to be a guy named Juan. If the place was sold out, you call Juan, give him a few hundred dollars, and he'll get you a room. The new guys name is Rodney. Give Rodney some money and all of a sudden rooms that were once reserved are canceled and "voila" you have a room,"
Negreanu claims that the management at the Commerce Casino and the Crown Plaza Hotel has been made informed of the problem, and that it has now promised to remove its mess.
